PRIVACY

WHAT WE COLLECT

• Location you give us. If you press USE MY LOCATION, your browser sends coordinates to our server so we can look up places. We round them to about a kilometer before using or storing them. If you type a city or ZIP, we look it up through OpenStreetMap Nominatim.
• Your answers: players, budget, loadout, date and start time. They are used to build the adventure.
• The adventure itself. Saved or shared adventures are stored (including the rounded location and your answers) so a link can open without an account. Anyone with the link can view it. Do not share links you would not want others to see.
• Basic usage events (for example "adventure generated", "link clicked") with coarse details such as city, budget band and mood. No names, no emails, no advertising IDs.
• Your device keeps CARTRIDGES and HIGH SCORES in local browser storage. We never see them.

WHO ELSE SEES DATA

To build an adventure we send rounded coordinates or search text to service providers such as OpenStreetMap (Overpass, Nominatim, map tiles), Open-Meteo for weather, and, if enabled, ticketing providers such as Ticketmaster or SeatGeek. Hosting is on Vercel. When you click a partner or ticket link, that third party's privacy policy applies. We may earn a commission on those clicks.

WHAT WE DON'T DO

We do not sell personal information. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

RETENTION AND YOUR CHOICES

Shared adventures are kept for up to one year unless you ask for earlier removal. Email info@island.contact with the share code (the five characters after /a/) and we will delete it. You can clear local data in your browser at any time. Residents of some places have rights to access or delete data; email us and we will honor valid requests.

SECURITY AND CHANGES

No system is perfectly secure and we cannot promise it. We may update this policy by posting a new version here. Use of the Service is also governed by the Terms, including the limits on liability and the arbitration clause.
